Let’s Play Bingo

Updated: Feb 18, 2023

Bingo, Designer Handbags and Charity

What a fun way to give back to your community. In December of 2022 we held our 3rd annual Designer Handbag Bingo event at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bristol, Connecticut. 10 Rounds of bingo were played with each round having a designer handbag up for grabs, if you were the lucky one to call B-I-N-G-O! Handbag Designers included Coach, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Yes, you read that correct.

WE are the ONLY Charity Handbag Bingo Event that offers a HIGH END designer handbag in the bingo games! Last year we were able to offer 2, the LV and the Gucci. How amazing is that?

A message to our Sponsors

We have amazing sponsors that believe in our mission and go above and beyond to show their support. Our mission is to raise money and awareness for lives in need through community action to promote the general welfare of our society. Lives in need include poverty, under-privilege, patients with terminal illness as well as individuals in their time of need. Without them, this event would not be what it is. We would like to thank all of our sponsors especially Lupo Electric. Nikki, one of the owners, supports this event every year and we are grateful for her generosity.

Families in need

At this event every year we also recognize a family in need by offering a special raffle in their honor. This time we honored 2 because honestly, both of their stories were beyond heartbreaking. We shared their story, with their permission of course, and were able to raise $4000 in total for them by offering raffle tickets toward a Michael Kors luggage set. As we never know the amount of money we will raise for each individual in their time of need, it was heart- warming to see the outpour of love from the community and the generosity of all who donated.

Junior Board Members

Let’s not forget about our Jr Board Members that held their own raffle to raise funds to help purchase items for the Team Pajamas cart at the McLeod Health Seacoast Hospital located in South Carolina. The Jr Board raised $350 selling raffle tickets toward a Michael Kors Handbag and with those funds they purchased lavender tea, adult coloring books, crossword puzzle books, colored pencils, Hershey chocolates and fuzzy socks for patients to choose from.

We also highlighted a little girl, Madison, who started a non-profit sending gently used and new books to all 50 states to keep kids reading. If you donated a book you received an extra raffle ticket toward our door prize, a Tory Burch Handbag, sponsored by Madison’s non-profit, 50 states 50 books.

As this was our biggest event to date we hope to continue to grow this amazing night out every year. Ally G is already hard at work planning more surprises, more fun, more HIGH END bags and let’s not forget about the Swag Bags!
